Work in Progress

Watercolors are my choice of medium here. Paintings with this type of material can be
completed in a day or a few days for a lot of artists, my technique can require more time.
I can achieve the depth of colors that I get by applying lots of individual color washes, and letting them dry in between.
Add to that the detail I tend to get into and some larger pieces can take weeks to finish.
I will occasionally share a "work in progress" on this page to give you a glimpse of what's involved, so check back often!

The drawing has been done and transferred to the watercolor paper. I did the background first. I then started in on the shirt and jumped to beginning washes on the chinks. I felt like working from the top down on this one.
